After more than two decades of successful use in the automation of production machines, the phase-out for the motion control system SIMOTION D was announced effective from October 1st, 2025. Since its introduction in 2002, SIMOTION has set standards in motion control. The SIMATIC T-CPU will succeed SIMOTION D and is available to our customers, the T-CPU will offer numerous advantages within the TIA ecosystem.
During the 1 year phase-out period the affected parts are available as new parts without restrictions. Once the discontinuation period starts, the affected parts are only available as spare parts or can be returned for repair. Orders should be in typical spare part quantities.
Beyond the phase-out date it is planned to have parts available for 10 years. However, due to high dynamics in the component market, we cannot guarantee availability for all assemblies, despite careful planning.
