Siemens Numerical Control Factory Visit
On 9 September, Siemens organised a visit to its new Numerical Control factory, bringing together colleagues from other countries.
The factory manufactures a range of Siemens products and components, including:
• SINUMERIK 828D
• SINAMICS S120 Booksize AC drives
• SINAMICS S200 AC drives
• SIMOTICS 1PH3 spindle motors
• SIMOTICS 1FL2 servomotors
• SIMOTICS 1FK2 servomotors
• SINAMICS S210 AC drives
The facility follows the same standards and quality requirements as Siemens’ European factories, supporting consistent production and quality across different locations.
The current factory layout also allows for future expansion of the production lines to meet increasing global demand.
This production capability is particularly important as it supports faster delivery and improved supply availability, while maintaining Siemens’ established manufacturing standards.
Siemens SINUMERIK Open Day 2026
On 10 September, the CNC Design team participated in the main event, Siemens SINUMERIK Open Day 2026.
The event brought together approximately 400 machine tool builders and focused on the launch of the latest Siemens SINUMERIK 828D Smart.
The event provided an opportunity to learn more about the new CNC platform and its applications for modern machine tool manufacturing.
It was also a valuable opportunity to connect with the Siemens team responsible for supporting machine builders and to strengthen our expansion in the machine tool business.
For CNC Design, maintaining strong relationships with Siemens teams across different markets is an important part of supporting our customers throughout Southeast Asia and the wider APAC region.

Visits such as these provide valuable insight into the technologies, manufacturing processes and supply capabilities behind Siemens’ CNC and automation solutions.
They also create opportunities for closer collaboration between Siemens and CNC Design teams across different countries, helping us continue to support machine builders and manufacturers with CNC, motion control and automation solutions.
