High Powered 7000 watt lasers bring a lot more than thick sheet cutting to the laser cutting market

The new Bristow Laser Systems “Vantage” 4020DL 7kW laser cutting system using the Siemens Sinumerik 840D CNC, Simodrive 611D digital drives and 1FN3 linear servo motors, supplied and supported by CNC Design Pty Ltd.

The “Vantage” range of machines offers world leading dual linear drive technology on table sizes from 4000mm x 2000mm up to 10,000mm x 3000mm (larger sizes on request), as well as the option of the new PRC FH7000 watt laser. The Vantage uses all the latest equipment available from world leading suppliers and is fitted with linear drive technology on both X axes and Y axis with acceleration rates up to 4G. Along with Constant Beam Length axis and fixed laser, it offers superior performance over traditional large plate systems. With advanced standard features such as CNC Focal Height Control, Cut Monitoring, Pierce Detection, Lens Failure Detection and Full Materials Cutting Database the Vantage will put your company at the “Forefront of Laser Cutting Technology.”

It should be noted that the new 7kW system is capable of cutting up to 25mm Mild Steel, 36mm Stainless Steel and 15mm Aluminium and while it is true that the higher powered lasers do offer the end user thick sheet cutting ability, they also offer faster processing rates in the bread and butter day to day cutting of the commercial laser cutting facility.
