CNC Design Support for Machine Tool Builder Texmaco - SINUMERIK 802D Application


CNC Design has provided its utmost service in design and commission of Siemens Digital CNC Control SINUMERIK 802D for various series of Texmaco's machine tools in Indonesia.

Texmaco machine tool business unit, based at Karawang (near Jakarta), produces machines which offer precision combined with simplicity of operation. The CNC turning lathe is just one example of the quality of the division's production standards, incorporating computerized numeric control features. In addition, Texmaco has onwed the design and production of well named Aciera machine tools world wide.

CNC Design has performed a close work with Texmaco engineering team to come up with an integral design of Aciera series of flat bed milling and Hemat CNC turning. The activities includes electrical design, start up and commissioning.

Siemens SINUMERIK 802D nicely suits the application in Texmaco machine tool series for its simplicity, easy to commission, easy to maintain and operate. On top of that, SINUMERIK 802D fits the price segment for economic machine while having no step backward in quality and reliability. Furthermore, SINUMERIK 802D is the digital CNC control operating under profibus motion control bus which is of the current state of technology and the trend for the future.

Siemens SIMODRIVE 611Ue and 1FK6 axis servomotors were used to actuate the axis. The robust construction, compact dimension and high dynamic response of 1FK6 axis servomotors are the main consideration for its application on Texmaco compact machines.

Spindle motor can be of a normal induction motor or Siemens asynchronous spindle motor from 1PH7 series. The optional analog speed setpoint for spindle motor is possible within SINUMERIK 802D and SIMODRIVE 611Ue combination.

The commissioning of BM40 and FC55 flat bed type milling machine, under effective joint works between CNC Design and Texmaco, has been finalised in less than 5 working days. The Aciera series and Hemat CNC turning are available for commercial market in second semester of year 2000. SINUMERIK 802D has become standard CNC controller for Texmaco machine tools.
