Grinding Retrofitted with SINUMERIK 840Di
A 11 years old manual copy grinding machine is
re-engineered to CNC Surface Grinding machine by CNC Design Thailand.
This machine is used to grind the shearing knife blade for a hot
roll mill in a steel company.
The solution was based on the powerful SINUMERIK
840Di. Customised screens for operator interface have been developed
for easy operation. New ballscrew for X and Z axis are fitted to
replace old hydraulic mechanism. In addition, the existing lubrication
system, coolant system and other mechanical mechanism have been
reconditioned.
