Makino Copy Milling H1210 Retrofitted with SINUMERIK 802D
Makino Copy Milling (Model H1210) has been recently retrofitted
by CNC Design Indonesia for a customer in tool and die making industry.
Originally machine was a copy milling machine with 3rd party control
and servosystem which are of outdated and obsolete technology. CNC
Design replaced them with Siemens CNC control SINUMERIK 802D system.
Siemens SINUMERIK 802D digital CNC controller at particular level
suits the requirement in tool and die making i.e: look ahead function
for contouring and reliable DNC programming. The selection of SINUMERIK
802D has enabled a cost effective solution while having no step
backward in quality.
Machine has 3 interpolating axes (X,Y, Z Axis) and a set up axis
in Z direction (W axis). New Siemens 1FK7 synchronous servomotors
with integrated Alpha gearbox (ratio 1:5) have been fitted to replace
the existing old DC servomotors. These axis motors are digitally
controlled over PROFIBUS by Siemens wordwide proven servodrive SIMODRIVE
611Ue.
The existing AC spindle motor (22kW) has been reused in conjunction
with newly supplied Siemens inverter MICROMASTER 440.
After fully wired, the machine commissioning has been completed
in only in 3 working days. Machine now has been put back into operation
with this new 2004 technology on board.
