Siemens Motion Control Solution for Oscillating Guillotine Machine
at EDAG Future Australia
CNC Design have recently completed a project for new Oscillating
Guillotine machine for EDAG Future Australia. The Oscillating Guillotine
machine will be a part of a press line which cuts metal sheet before
press. EDAG Future Australia have been manufacturing this Oscillating
Guillotine machine for world wide market.
The oscillating guillotine will rotate 2100kg-press tool to different
angle at each pressing cycle. The guillotine is designed to a maximum
speed of 40 strokes/minute with a maximum oscillating angle of 60
degrees.
The console cabinet will house all the electrical equipment. For
mobility purpose as the end customer will operate the guillotine
on different presses, the cabinet will be on castor wheels and all
cables connected to the guillotine will be through external cabinet
connectors
CNC Design scope of supply:
- Design and commissioning of Siemens Motion Control solution
which incorporates 2 servomotors for oscillator and outfeed. The
solution is based on the application of Siemens SIMODRIVE 611U
and 1FT6 digital servomotors.
- Gear-tray design for console cabinet
- Configuring Siemens HMI OP170B (touch screen).
