Pak Technologies Pty Ltd (Pak Tech) was formed in August, 2000 following the commercial viability of closely guarded technology enabling food products to be packaged in clear plastic, shelf stable packaging being proven with numerous international installations.

Originating at Australia's largest fruit and vegetable processor and Pak Tech parent company, SPC Limited, it was a logical next step to create a separate company to focus exclusively on driving technology development and integrated packaging systems.

CNC Design and Pak Tech have been collaborating in design and commissioning of Siemens Motion Control solutions for range of Pak Tech machinery. One of the completed project was the development of motion control system for Cup Filler Line Hawk 180. The machine is used for packing fruit and juice into cups and sealing of cups. The Cup Filler has the medium capacity up to 180 unit per minute or 20-30 million units per annum.

Siemens PLC S7-300 with CPU 315-DP control system coordinates the operation of synchronised axis motors driven by powerfull Siemens Masterdrive MC (Motion Control).

Complete Solution for Packaging Machine Automation:

Siemens 1FT6 servomotors with stainless stell shaft have been used to comply with the common standard in food and beverage packaging machinery.

Technology function integrated in Masterdrive MC ensure the synchronised operation of machine sections. All communication is done over Profibus-DP bus. Siemens touch screen HMI is used to convey user convenient machine operation.

As a result, an utmost machine performance can be delivered through Pak Tech H180 Cup Filler - Heat Sealer. CNC Design is looking forward to supporting more motion control solutions for packaging application at Pak Tech.
