Upgrade for Packaging Machine
In the past, motion control tasks
run in packaging machinery were carried out using mechanical
components and a variety of electronic components such as
output cam controllers, line shafts, clutches, mechanical
gearings. These mechanical components may become worn out
and fatigue which result in increasing machine down time and
reduced production rate. In addition, the demanding markets
require a fast product design cycles and format changes, which
are out of the limit for such mechanical based motion control
system.
At
this particular point, retrofitting your packaging machine
can become a worth solution. Often an older packaging machine
can be made more reliable and/or economical by retrofitting
major subassemblies while retaining the bulk of the machine.
CNC Design has completed some retrofitting
projects on packaging machinery including tubular bagging,
wrapping, plastic bag making. CNC Design retrofit solutions
are based on Siemens motion control system consisting of MASTERDRIVE
MC (Motion Control) with technological function, synchronous
servomotors, SIMATIC PLC, SIMATIC HMI, and other
relevant products from Siemens i.e heater control system.
The existing mechanical based motion control
tasks are replaced with modular software which is part of
technological functions available within MASTERDRIVE MC:
- Electronic Gearing
- Electronic Cam Control
- Angular Synchronism
- Engaging and Disengaging Mechanism
- Registration Control
- Simple and Advanced Positioning
- Winder
