SIMOTION P – Open for additional tasks
SIMOTION P350 is a PC-based motion control system. It uses
the Windows NT operating system with a realtime expansion
for SIMOTION. This enables additional PC applications –
such as the SIMOTION engineering system, an operator application,
a process data evaluation, standard PC applications, etc.
– to run at any time in addition to the SIMOTION machine
application. Several panel types-with various monitor sizes
and keyboard, mouse, or touch-screen input options-are available
for operating the industrial PC. The drives and I/O are connected
in a distributed configuration using the isochronous PROFIBUS.
Typical areas of application Due to its open, industrial-PC-based
technology, the P350 is particularly well-suited to the following
requirements:
- Openness to PC applications
- Control and display on one hardware platform
- Extensive data management, evaluation, and logging
- Extensive use of remote diagnostics and operation
