SIMOTION D
SIMOTION D – Compact and integrated
into the drive
SIMOTION D functionality is directly integrated into the closed-loop
control module of a multiple-axis drive system. This makes
for a very compact overall system comprised of a controller
and a drive. Due to the direct integration of motion control
and drive functionality, the system is particularly quick
to respond.
Several different models of SIMOTION D are available, each
differing in performance. The first model is SIMOTION D435,
used for mid-range performance applications, with two isochronous
PROFIBUS connections and one Ethernet connection.
Typical areas of application
Due to its compact design and integration into the drive,
SIMOTION D is particularly well-suited for the following applications:
- Compact machines
- Distributed automation concepts, for example, in machines
with many axes
- Modular machines, including use in combination with SIMOTION
P or SIMOTION C
- Time-critical requirements for coupled axes
