Innovative design
The technology CPU has digital inputs and outputs, and two integral PROFIBUS interfaces provide all the necessary connections. Equidistance and isochrone mode on PROFIBUS are supported for dynamic motion control, especially where several coupled axes are involved. You use the local inputs and outputs for technological signals such as reference point acquisition or high-speed output cams.

Motion control functions
The motion sequences are programmed using function calls from the S7 user program. The familiar STEP 7 languages (LAD, FBD, STL) and all Engineering Tools (such as S7-SCL, S7-GRAPH, CFC) are used here. The motion control components (S7 Technology optional package) are based on the international standard “PLCopen” (Task Force Motion Control).
