Linear Scales
Exposed linear scales are designed for use on machine and
installation that require specially high accuracy of the measured
value. Typical applications include:
- High accuracy machine tools
- Measuring machines and comparators, other precision measuring
devices in semiconductor industries
- Ultra precision machines such as diamond lathes for optical
components, facing lathe for magnetic storage disk etc
Exposed linear scales consist of scale tape
and a scanning head that operate without mechanical contact.
The scale tape of an exposed linear scale is fastened directly
to a mounting surface.
