Linear Scales
Sealed linear scales are designed primarily for use on machines
and installation that operate in harsh environment such as
machine tools (machining center, milling, drilling, lathe,
grinding), bending presses, and welding machines.
The aluminum housing and flexible sealing lips are protecting
the glass/steel scales from chips, swarf, dirt and splashwater
(!P53). The index protection can be extended to higher level
IP64 by introducing compressed air into aluminum housing.
Sealed linear scales from HEIDENHAIN (LF, LS, LB LC Series)
are available in single section or multiple section assembly
to cover measuring measuring length from 50mm up to 30,000mm.
