Cost-cutting automation solutions for the wood industry


Siemens Automation and Drives (A&D) will be presenting automation and drive solutions for the wood industry at Ligna plus 2003 in Hanover from 26 to 30 May 2003.

The company's trade show program this year spotlights cost savings and increased productivity. Siemens' range of goods and services covers the entire life cycle of a machine: from consultation during the idea and concept phase to provision of services and products for system solutions to customer service for using the machine in wood processing applications. Customers benefit from an increase in units produced and from a reduction of costs throughout the entire value-added chain.

Special highlights at the Siemens' booth will be the motion control system Simotion, the new version of the graphical user interface TwinCAM, the Mechatronic Support service and the safety technology integrated into automation products.
