802D Solution Line - Future Oriented and Homogenous CNC Solution
for Medium Performance Range Machine Tools
Siemens A&D has recently introduced the SINUMERIK
802D solution line (802D sl) at this year CIMT Machine Tool
Exhibition in Beijing – China. It is indeed the first control
of the new solution line product series.
SINUMERIK 802D sl is an operating panel control
which makes available all CNC components (NC, PLC, HMI) in
one single unit. Equipped with maximally 5 axes (two of which
may be realized as spindles), this control is perfectly suitable
for turning and milling machines in the lower and medium performance
range.
The features of the well-proven SINUMERIK
802D are combined with the benefits of the new SINAMICS
S120 drive concept, thus providing a new, future-oriented
and homogeneous solution.
The SINUMERIK 802D sl allows you to enjoy

programming supported by advanced programming aids (cycles,
contour definitions) and through ShopMill/ShopTurn-based

and processing of part programs
- Economic wiring by using PROFIBUS link between CNC and
I/Os and DRIVE-CLiQ link to the power sections of the drive
