Visit from Metal Forming Specialist of Siemens A&D MC PM1, Mr. Juergen Decker


(23/04/2003) Siemens AG Automation & Drives Motion Control Division is a key partner and CNC Design is their representative for products and services in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Korea.

As part of continuous support for Automotive Industry in the region, CNC Design together with the counterpart from Siemens A&D MC PM1 (Metal Forming Automation, Main Drives and Press Line), have arranged open technical sessions on metal forming application in Automotive Industry.

These technical sessions will be conducted by Mr. Juergen Decker, Metal Forming Specialist of Siemens A&D MC PM1, during his upcoming 2 weeks visit from March 25-April 7, 2003.

Mr. Juergen Decker will expose customers in automotive industries on the following topics:

  • Siemens solutions for blanking line, tandem line and press lines
  • SIMOTION safety module and press safety concepts
  • Siemens MASTERDRIVE with Active Front End (AFE) and the benefits i.e. energy savings, stabilisation of voltage fluctuations, power factor correction and low supply of harmonics into the network.
  • Press revamping, upgrades and modernisation

Customer reference sites around the world on associated applications in metal forming

In addition, some technical sessions will be conducted during the visits to couple large automotive industry sites around Melbourne, among of them are Ford Geelong and Toyota.

In the first week, Mr. Juergen Decker will be conducting internal training for CNC Design engineers on Siemens latest technology in metal forming application. This will enable CNC Design continuous support for applications in automotive industry using Siemens solutions in the region.

CNC Design have also arranged 2 Days Open-Technical Session for automotive industry communities in Adelaide on April 2-3, 2003. It is expected more than 30 relevant people (Mitsubishi, Holden, Sage and others) will be attending this worth event. The venue for Adelaide technical sessions will be:
