SIMATIC Mobile Panel 170 with 5.7" Touch Screen
There are many cases where we have been
asked for a mobile operator touch panel which can be plugged
in at any point on a machine and unplugged and moved at any
time without powering down or stopping the machine. Now with
the latest Siemens SIMATIC Mobile panels this is a reality.
Machinery which must be operated or
set up from different points on the machine usually have multiple
fixed operator panels. Mobile Panel 170 now makes it possible
to plug in your panel and use it. Then simply unplug and move
to the next location and plug in.
Mobile Panel 170
with optional STOP switch can be incorporated into the emergency
stop circuit of a machine or system via connection boxes.
Operation of the STOP switch on the panel triggers the Emergency
Stop. When disconnecting the Mobile panel the connection box
Plus automatically closes the emergency stop circuit, ensuring
safe fault free connection i.e no interruption to the Emergency
Stop circuit and also no fault messages generated for the
PROFIBUS or MPI network.
You just mount connection boxes (rated IP65)
wherever you need a mobile panel to connect on your machine.
The STOP switch on the mobile panel supplements the emergency
stop devices fixed to the machine. Remember you still
need an Emergency Stop button if you have unplugged the mobile
panel!
